Meetup alternative
Junction is the platform we built to run our own 18 tech communities and 13 conferences. Events, tickets, speakers, sponsors, memberships and your own website, in one place. Free for communities up to 500 members.
Why we built it
Community Stack runs tech meetups and conferences across the UK. Junction exists because the tools we were paying for stopped working for us.
$7,500
A year, and rising
Our own platform bill went from $100 to over $7,500 a year on Meetup alone. That's money that should have paid for pizza, venues and speaker travel.

Tools to run one event
Meetup for discovery, something else for tickets, a form for talks, a spreadsheet for sponsors, another tool for email. Every handoff is a gap.

Ownership
Members, history and reputation built up over years sit on someone else's platform, under their terms and at their price.
What you get
Junction covers what you use Meetup for today, then adds the tools you currently run somewhere else.
Events of every size
From a twelve-person meetup to a multi-track conference, online, hybrid or multi-day, with scheduling that spots double-booked speakers.
Tickets without a platform cut
Free or paid tickets through Stripe Connect, offline-first QR check-in, and community rate tiers so price isn't a barrier.
Speakers and calls for papers
Run your call for speakers, review submissions and keep every talk linked to its speaker in a searchable archive.
Sponsors and memberships
Sell sponsorship packages and memberships in the same place you run events, so the community can pay for itself.
Your own website
A branded site for your community, built from your events and talks, not a page on someone else's domain.
A network, not just a listing
Members find your community through a shared network of tech communities, with one profile and talk history across all of them.
